Silversea has launched its 2027-2028 “Memories That Move You” Mediterranean Voyage Collection.

Leveraging the agility of its intimate, all-suite ships, Silversea is championing a more authentic cadence of travel, granting guests access to lesser-visited harbours where grand stories and deep cultural connections await.
This commitment to deep immersion is underscored by the celebrated S.A.L.T. (Sea and Land Taste) Programme, which is central to uncovering the authentic flavours and traditions of these destinations.
The new collection highlights an expanded focus on small ports, pairing iconic destinations with new discoveries that remain authentically local.
Below are three examples of Silversea’s new Mediterranean gems, each focusing on deep immersion to reveal a region’s hidden narrative, taken from Silversea’s 60-day Mediterranean Grand Voyage 2027 onboard Silver Dawn, departing Lisbon on 28th September and returning on November 27th.
Giardini Naxos, Sicily, Italy: Fire, Wine, and Ancient Foundations
Giardini Naxos, the first Greek settlement in Sicily, offers Silversea guests a blend of history, scenery, and regional flavour. From its golden-sand bay, travellers can easily access nearby Taormina, home to the iconic Greek theatre overlooking the sea and Mount Etna.
The region’s volcanic slopes support some of Sicily’s most celebrated vineyards, showcased through Silversea’s S.A.L.T. Etna Wines Experience & Lunch at the Benanti Winery ($499/£380 per guest).
This full-day programme explores Etna’s distinctive terroir, the native Carricante grape, and includes a traditional Sicilian lunch with Benanti’s acclaimed wines.

Gythion, Greece: The Echoes of Sparta and Mythical Shores
Gythion, Greece, offers guests a gateway into the ancient world at the heart of the Peloponnese. Once the naval port of Sparta, the town provides access to significant historical and cultural sites, including the Caves of Diros, the Byzantine ruins of Mistra, and the neo-classical harbour built along Mount Kourmaros. Nearby Kranae Island – linked to the legend of Paris and Helen – adds further depth to the port’s storytelling.
This call forms part of the Athens (Piraeus) to Fusina (Venice) itinerary from 22 October to 3 November 2027.
Porto Santo Stefano, Italy: Tuscany’s Secluded Dolce Vita
Porto Santo Stefano, Italy, provides a refined gateway to Southern Tuscany, set on the Monte Argentario peninsula—a once-island retreat known for its quiet elegance and coastal beauty. The port combines historic interest with culinary depth, from its waterfront and Spanish Fort viewpoints to the region’s celebrated Tyrrhenian cuisine.
A notable shore experience is the Full-Day Tufa Villages & Traditional Lunch ($269/£204 per guest), which explores the rock-hewn Etruscan towns of Pitigliano and Sovana before a traditional four-course Tuscan meal.
